KDraw Kids ("the App") is a drawing and coloring app for children aged 2 to 8. The App is directed to children, and we operate it under the strictest advertising settings that Google offers.

We are the operator responsible for the App.
The App is free and supported by advertising. It shows occasional full screen ads, and only after a child has finished a drawing or coloring activity and returned to the home screen. Ads are never shown when the App opens, never during drawing, and never in the parent protected gallery.
Ads are delivered by Google LLC (AdMob) (Google's privacy policy), which is a Google Play Families self certified advertising partner.
Some ads are delivered by Kidoz Ltd. (Kidoz's privacy policy), a children's advertising network that serves contextual ads only. Kidoz receives a truncated version of the device's IP address, which by design cannot identify a precise location, together with the same in app interaction and diagnostic information described below.
Every ad request from this App is tagged as directed to children and capped at content rating "G". As a direct result:
AD_ID permission, and the Android Advertising ID (AAID) is not collected
or transmitted. Neither are SIM Serial, Build Serial, BSSID, MAC, SSID, IMEI or IMSI.To deliver an ad, our advertising partners receive the following: the device's IP address, which allows an approximate city level location to be inferred and is what the ad is transmitted to; in app interaction events such as an app launch or an ad view; diagnostic information about app and SDK performance; and device identifiers that are not advertising identifiers, such as the App Set ID. This information is used only for delivering and measuring the ad, for aggregated reporting, and for fraud prevention and security. That is what the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule calls support for the internal operations of an online service.
These identifiers are not used or disclosed in order to contact any specific individual, to build a profile about any specific individual, for behavioral advertising, or for any other purpose.
Ad requests from this App carry no consent string, and the App explicitly requests Google's "limited ads" serving mode, which does not use cookies or device storage for advertising purposes. A limited amount of information may still be stored on the device or read from it for purposes that Google describes as strictly operational: capping how often an ad is shown, and detecting invalid or fraudulent ad traffic. We disclose this here because no consent dialog is ever shown in this App. Every user is below the age at which consent can validly be given, so the App states that fact to Google rather than asking a child a question they cannot answer.
The App itself requests two permissions, and both are required in order to fetch an ad:
INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. The advertising software built into
the App also declares two standard Android permissions, WAKE_LOCK and
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, which it uses for its own background work such as finishing the
download of an ad. Neither of them gives access to any personal information, and Android does not
ask the user to grant them. The App does not request the advertising ID permission, camera,
microphone, contacts, location, or storage permissions.
Drawings created in the App are stored only on the device, inside the App's private storage. If a parent enables it in the parental settings, they are also saved to the device's photo gallery ("Pictures/KDraw Kids"). Artwork is never uploaded, never sent to us, and never shared with our advertising partners. It leaves the device only if a parent explicitly shares it using the share button, which is protected by a parental gate.
The App has no sign in, no accounts, no in app purchases and no subscriptions. We do not collect names, email addresses, photographs, voice recordings, contacts or precise location.
We operate no servers and hold no database. We retain no personal information about users of the App, because we receive none. Data received by our advertising partners is retained under their own published retention policies, which are linked above. Artwork stored on the device is kept until a parent deletes it in the App or uninstalls the App.
The App is directed to children under 13. The only information collected in connection with the App is the persistent and technical information listed under "What ads mean for your child's data", and it is collected only for support for the internal operations of the service: contextual ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention and security. Because no other personal information is collected, and because these identifiers are never used to contact or profile an individual, verifiable parental consent is not required for this collection under 16 C.F.R. section 312.5(c)(7).
Every user of the App is below the age of digital consent in every EEA member state, so we do not rely on consent as a lawful basis and we do not ask a child to consent to anything. Ad requests are tagged as coming from a user below the age of consent, which suppresses any consent form and restricts serving to limited, non personalized ads. IP addresses are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the advertising that funds a free children's app, balanced by the restrictions described above.
A parent or guardian may contact us at webhym@gmail.com to ask what information relating to their child the App may have caused to be collected, to request its deletion, or to refuse any further collection. We will respond within 30 days. Because we hold no data ourselves, a deletion request will be forwarded to the relevant advertising partner. A parent who wishes to stop all ad related data collection immediately can uninstall the App, and all drawings are removed with it.
Actions that leave the child's play context, meaning sharing artwork, deleting artwork, and opening parent settings, are protected by a parental gate that requires reading a written instruction.
We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes, and we will publish any change before the corresponding App update reaches Google Play.
